Children’s Day: Police beef up security

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, has directed all area and divisional commands to beef up security at all recreational centres ahead of the Children’s Day celebration.
Kimo in a statememt by the command spokesperson, ASP Usen Omorodion, said the move became imperative to ensure that children have a fun-filled day.
“CP Musa Kimo has directed all area commanders and divisional police officers in the command to beef up security at all recreational centers, parks and spots where children will converge to felicitate the historic event,” he said.
He said the command has identified strategic spots that will be a beehive of activities for the provision of adequate security.
“Both uniformed and plain clothes police officers will be deployed to the identified spots for the seamless celebration of the event,” he said.
